Tavern Puzzle Collection: Group 8: Patience Puzzle

Tavern Puzzle Collection

The oldest know puzzle design, probably of Chinese origin. Popular with 19th century sailors. It’s made with nails made in New England on a machine that has been in use since the Civil War era. Patience Puzzle is more a mathmatical puzzle than the other Tavern Puzzles. It has 43 steps, but only a few basic moves. The secret to solving it is discovering the correct sequence. First introduced by Tavern Puzzles in 1984, the object of this Complex Level puzzle is to remove the shuttle. Puzzles are packaged in a drawstring muslin bag with information sheet that shows the puzzle and the objective. Group 8 Difficulty.

Dimensions: Approximately 11" long
